Summary

The Amateur Boxing Association of Barbados realizes that it must continually strive toward improvement and must constantly evaluate its efforts and vision in regard to effecting a program for amateur boxing. The Association is now entering on the threshold of this vision by documenting its first sponsorship proposal for the sport. This long overdue document will be used to solidify our quest for the continued development for amateur boxing in Barbados and no lend additional credibility to our Association within the sporting family and with those persons and businesses who supply sponsorship for our support.

The Association, under the advisement of its functional sub-committees, will continue to develop new concepts and ideas to take the program forward. This is all part of the sports vision and will undoubtedly enhance the effectiveness of a sound training program for all our members.

Boxing, just like a business or any any other sporting enterprise, needs finances, in order to undertake its plans. The cost of training, competing, travelling, accommodation, equipment or any other expense must al be met. It is therefore imperative on the Association to provide the necessary in infrastructure and to meet the needs and costs for taking the sport to a higher level.
