win back the support of friends, former boxers,

and officials, officially registered with the
Association.

of Barbados about amateur boxing and thus
increase interest in the sport.
- To inform the public
about safety aspects about boxing.
- To utilize the media
as the chief means of spreading the word.
- To provide
videotapes, boxing literature and information to
schools and gyms, which carry the message and at
the same time provide good entertainment for the
boxers.
- To become involved in
the Youth Development Program of the Ministry of
Youth Affairs.
- To intensify our
search for talent by targeting young people in
schools with a view to getting them interested in
the art of boxing.

training needs of the Association and to plan
programs to satisfy these needs.

assist with the overall development of gyms.
- To establish clinics
for specialized training of boxers.

international competition for our advanced
boxers.

self-determination about how what kind of roles
they play within the Amateur Boxing Association
of Barbados.

positions of influence and leadership throughout
the organization and to help determine policy and
self-direction.
- To help boxers
discover hidden talents and desires by
challenging them to maximize their potential on
and off the field.
- To increase the
number of coaches and referee/judges involved in
the program and to provide courses, seminars and
clinics for their education and to ensure that
they attain Continental, International and World
status.

resources and sponsorship required to develop and
